Dino's Bookmark Submitter is a free, open source and a cross platform bookmark submitter. It was born as a small subproject of a Dino Browser SEO Toolkit. Bookmark Submitter incorporates some parts and algorithms from Dino Browser and at a first time it was used for internal needs only. However it turned out that this small application is much more user friendly and easier in use that a Dino Browser itself. So I’ve decided to publish it as a separate open source application.

You can find all binaries and source codes here:

Social Bookmarking – do it the right way

It is not enough to bookmark your website. Search engines will never find your backlinks among billions of other bookmarks. You have some chance if you’ll manage to push your news on a main page of a social directory and even then it is possible for a link to fade away before it will get indexed. It is much easier to find social directories that provide so-called “User Public Pages”. For example, if you’ll register on Twitter with “Superman” login, your User Public Page will be http://twitter.co/superman/. Now all your post will be publically available on this page.

So the Right Social Bookmarking should look like this:
  1.  Find social directories that provide “User Public Pages”
  2. Submit your bookmarks into this directories with different descriptions (search engines ignore duplicate content)
  3. Collect all your public pages from social directories and back link them on your blog or website so that search engines could find them

The overall submitting process with Bookmark Submitter should be really simple. You just need to setup your accounts and bookmark’s data (use “Setup” button), then load some bookmark directory (use “Go to Login Page” + “Go to Bookmark Page” buttons) and submit required items (use “Login” and “Submit” buttons).

Please note, that a Bookmark Submitter is smart enough to recognize login and bookmark fields. All you need is to provide you accounts and bookmark’s address + title.

In a week or two I will try to submit a video tutorial, so don’t forget to visit this page later.
